There are very strict Council rules that need to be followed to be able to strata title a duplex, because Council is required to seal the plans, which gives the titles office approval to split the title into two.

Stamp Duty can be a large cost when purchasing a property. If you buy a dual living house and land package you only pay stamp duty on the land, and not the build, so this is a great saving. The money can stay in your pocket instead of the Government’s.
